The Problem

Telephone - Cats - CansToo Much Talk
One of the biggest problems facing government, the military and the commercial industry is their inability to process, comprehend, and utilize all data produced by large sensor networks in near real-time.  The volume of data produced by sensors is growing exponentially, surpassing both the network’s and human cognitive abilities necessary for understanding it.  The industry has attempted to bridge this gap with “Big Data” mining and Artificial Intelligence, but both have been extracting knowledge after the fact, which is of no use toward furthering remote, real-time situational analysis and decision-making.
